Personal Tech Support collects payment for appointments when you schedule a session. Appointments are in 1-hour blocks, at US Dollar (USD) $125. per hour. (The site’s payment system should convert the USD rate to your local currency.)

At your appointed start time, call our toll-free number (use the Call buttons at the top or bottom of this page...) to start your session. If you prefer, we can use the shared-screen session for audio, rather than calling.

In-person sessions requiring more than 30 minutes’ travel time in either direction include additional charges for the total round-trip travel time, at half of book rate. To make arrangements for an in-person tech session, or if you have questions about other aspects of our services, please call us.

Price includes tax, at Connecticut’s Computer Services rate, for those customers whose location makes them subject to that tax.

The Services are intended for users who are at least 18 years old, and who are not minors in the jurisdiction in which they reside. Persons under the age of 18, or who are minors in the jurisdiction in which they reside, are not permitted to use or register for the Services.

Personal Tech Support strives to be available for every booked session, but does not guarantee that a booked session will be fulfilled. If we are unable to fulfill an appointment, we will initiate a full refund of your payment as soon as possible after we are notified of the missed booking.

CANCELLATIONS POLICY:

WITHIN A SESSION: If either you or Personal Tech Support feel, within the first ten minutes of your appointment, that your session is not satisfactory, we will cancel the appointment and initiate a refund of your payment. This cancellation policy is valid for remote sessions only; there are no refunds for in-person sessions.

PRIOR TO A SESSION: Booked sessions may be cancelled, by either you or Personal Tech Support, up to 24 hours prior to the scheduled start of the session. Sessions canceled by the client at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled start time will be refunded. Sessions canceled by Personal Tech Support at any time prior to the scheduled session start will be refunded in full.

Personal Tech Support records audio of all phone sessions, and records the screen activity and audio of remote sessions done via screen-share. These recordings are intended to help protect and reassure both parties. Your screen-share can be paused by you at any time, to omit views of sensitive data. By agreeing to these terms prior to booking your session, you acknowledge that you are aware of this recording policy, and you give permission for your session to be recorded in these manners.

Remote sessions require use of an Apple Mac running at least OS 10.12, logged in with a valid Apple ID email address, and using a suitable data connection. Screen-share via Facetime from an iPhone or iPad requires at least iOS 15, also using a suitable data connection. You will also need to know the Apple ID email address used to log in to your device. Notwithstanding these factors, there is no guarantee that a successful Apple screen-share connection can be initiated or maintained. At your request, we can also do screen-sharing with Zoom – although this provides less interactivity.

And as per our site host, Wix: “Wix Payments complies with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS). The PCI DSS is the highest information security standard for organizations or companies that accept credit card payments. This standard provides protection of the privacy and confidentiality of the card's data used to complete the online transaction.” And Personal Tech Support does not receive or retain credit card information.
